Undoubtedly one of the best sport songs of the humanity is Back in Black song by ACDC rock band. This Australian hard-rock band was formed in 1973 by Malcolm Young (born in Jan. 6, 1953, Glasgow, Scotland, rhythm guitar), after the collapse of his previous project called “Velvet underground”. Young offered his brother Angus Young (born in March 31, 1959, Glasgow, Scotland, guitar) to play at his band. Later their sister offered them to wear the school uniform at stage. That zest has quickly become their trademark. The debut of the brothers was in Sydney bar on Dec. 31, 1973, along with Dave Evans (guitar), Larry Van Knedtom (bass) and Colin Burgess (drums). In 1974, Young and Evans moved to Melbourne, where they were joined by Marc Evans (born March 2, 1956, Melbourne, Australia; bass) and Phil Rudd (born 19 May 1954, Melbourne, percussion). Another immigrant from Great Britain, Bon Scott (Ronald Belford Scott, pp. July 9, 1946, Kirrimer, Scotland, vocals), was their lead singer, when Dave Evans refused to go to stage in September, 1974.
AC / DC first greatest single was “Can I sit next to you?” that wasn’t released outside of Australia, although the British “Atlantic Records” proposed them to issue the songs from their following album entitled “High voltage” in 1976. These albums got firts ACDC fan club and made them popular not only at home, but even in Europe. In January 1976, AC / DC moved to London. Bassist Mark Evans was replaced by Cliff Williams (born December 14, 1949, Romford, Essex, England) in June, 1977. Due to “Let There Be Rock” they broke into the charts in the UK. People trudged from downhole song “Whole Lotta Rosie”. But international stars, they began with the album called “Highway to hell”. This is their first album with producer Mutt Lang, as he became the last to Bon Scott. In February 19, 1980, after a night of heavy drinking, he was left unconscious in a friend’s car, and was later found dead (choked on own vomit). The coroner declared the death as an accident. Scott’s death threatens the future of the band, he soon was replaced by Brian Johnson of “Geordie”. His first album with the band “Back in black” reached number one in Britain and Australia, and fourth place in the U.S.
Back in Black live is still very popular at many sport events. The death Bon Scott died exactly while the band was working on this album. After Brian Johnson came to replace Scott, the album has been completely redesigned. Incidentally this is the first album recorded with a third vocalist Brian Johnson. The album cover was made almost entirely black, in memory of the departed Scott.
