We Will Rock You song is a song by English rock band called Queen from their album «News of the World» written by Brian Meem. Despite the fact that the song was released as a single only in some countries, it gained immense popularity around the world and it even had a video clip. The song is always accompanied by another song from the same album – «We Are the Champions»

Speaking about the show We will rock you implies Mae who starts playing after the third verse in the second repetition of «We will, we will rock you». He begins to slide on the strings, creating a monotonous sound that is louder and louder. After the fourth repetition of these words, Mae began to play his solo which ends teh song.

As for the concerts We will rock you was played another way, but the sound of the song wasn’t lost. Instead of kicks and claps the rhythm was enriched by the drummer Roger Taylor. He played only two drums, which were usually located at different ends of the installation.

Queen made another version of the song, calling it «We Will Rock You (fast version)». Studio recording of the song was not written for a single album, but this version was played at almost every concert and sport event. There are a few differences between this song and the original version – no usual rhythm which was in the original song, the song is really much faster, less melodic and more “heavy”. This version implies drums and guitar that play a more important role. Mercury used to sing the chorus along with Taylor, and usually he wouldn’t finished it singing by switching immediately to the next verse. After the second verse Mae played a completely different guitar solo. In the end, after the third verse, Taylor played some time on their drums and the song ended.

This version opened almost every concert or sport event. Also, the song was recorded on a live album called «Live Killers» it was released as a single in August 1979 with a live recording of the song «Let Me Entertain You» on the B side but the single did not reach success in the charts.
